The F/V Acme is seen here as they bring in the first of the cod -end full of dog fish . You can see the boat leaning over from the tremendous weight. Each bag (cod -end) full of fish weighs over five thousand pounds. During her time each set or tow of dog fishing brought in 40 to 60 thousand pounds of fish. Often it took five minutes to catch and five hours to bring overboard.
